Mission
Evergreen Garden Playschool's nursery/kindergarten can be a child's first step out of the home and into the wider community. A loving, home-like environment of natural toys, nutritious foods and a curriculum that echoes the changing seasons provides a safe, and nurturing experience for the young child.
We strive to meet each child's individual needs and to awaken in them an abiding interest in, and reverence for their world and each other. Our school provides an inclusive, welcoming and supportive community to parents so that we may work together to best serve the unfolding needs of the child.
Daily Activities
Evergreen Garden’s classroom and outdoor settings allow children’s imaginations to flourish. The evenly paced rhythms of the day meet the children’s need for repetition and a balance of quiet and lively activities.
A typical morning includes:
- Outdoor play in all weather
- Circle time with songs and movement games
- Wholesome snack
- Indoor play with toys made from natural materials
- Watercolor painting, food preparation, or seasonal craft
- Storytelling or puppet play
