Meet with other new parents to share the joys and challenges of early parenting in an atmosphere of warmth and support. Facilitated by a Waldorf Early Childhood teacher, take time to discover how to care for an infant while caring for yourself. Come explore approaches of how to feed, calm and soothe a baby and how to read and respond to your baby’s cues.
We will quietly observe how our babies move, explore and engage and watch them progress through motor, social and developmental milestones. Babies are amazing – they increase in competencies and capacities for self-regulation every week. We will delight in watching their personalities and means of self-expression emerge.

Join other parents and caregivers with a Waldorf Early Childhood teacher to observe how rapidly toddlers progress from crawling to climbing – and what new responses that requires of us.
The increasing mobility of a one–year–old makes her a wily explorer! Toddlers seek out and return to us as they discover their environment in new ways, delight in their newfound abilities and begin to imitate our speech and activities.
While our little ones explore, we will observe their budding capacities and explore our own challenges and discoveries of this phase of the parenting journey: How to set boundaries yet respect the toddler’s healthy drive to discover? How much freedom to allow? How to nurture ourselves? Adult conversation time will allow time for your questions, concerns and peer support.

An appreciation of each child’s unique unfolding development sets a mood of wonder, reverence and enthusiasm. We explore child development and educational principles using a Waldorf approach in light of the practical aspects of parenting. We’ll share conversation about creative discipline, rhythm & rituals at home, the importance of play and homemaking as a spiritual task.
As we observe the children interacting, we will help them build their social skills as they navigate play, explore their environment and build their imaginations.
